Who owns Discount Domains?

Discount Domains was founded in 2003. Within five years it had joined up with Digiweb, which was absorbed into a company called Umbrellar in 2015. This brought it into the same stable as Freeparking, which went through an international buy-out in 2020.
Today the “Freeparking Group” is a division of Dreamscape Networks, which also owns Crazy Domains. That makes it part of an American giant called Newfold Digital, previously known as Web.com. To un-complicate things from there, let’s just say that this was all part of a multi-billion dollar private equity deal. While Discount Domains started out as a New Zealand-owned company, those days are long gone.
