KiwiData is a New Zealand-owned business. The name originated with a company founded in 2010, but the business has a much longer history.
It grew from an auto services company originally called Supertint, now Big Noise. Digital services were added under the Big Noise name in 1998, and rebranded to Web Connect in 2016. In 2021 the owner of Web Connect acquired KiwiData (founded 2010) and in 2023 KiwiData and Web Connect merged.
The name Web Connect still appears in some places, for example on social media profiles.
